On June 7, 1963, a King was born by the name of Aggrie Coward to the late Enos Coward and Beverly Glandville; he was the third child of his parents.
Aggrie attended basic and primary schools in Jamaica before relocating to Bronx, NY at the age of 17. He continued his education at Evander Child High School, where he met his beautiful wife Geen. On December 24, 1986, Aggrie got married. They both had a son in their previous relationship: his son Patrick Byas and step son Omar Johnson. Aggrie expanded their family and had an additional seven children: Telecia, Felicia, Cadean, Patricia, Melissa, Aggrie, and Jomar Coward.
As a child, Aggrie’s dream was to become a Doctor, but he knew he wanted to become his own professional boss. Aggrie was a man of all trades: he was a taxi drive, he then furthered his career as a certified auto body mechanic. As time went on, he acquired his CDL license where he confidently felt he finally achieved the opportunity to be his own professional boss. He started “Rasta Trucking, Inc; which allowed him to feel like the man he was destined to be, yet he was humble about his success.
Aggrie then put forth his plans to purchase a house for his large family. He worked day and night sacrificing his body and time away from his family working to achieve his goal.
In the midst of all of this, Aggrie became sick during 2010. This affected his ability to do as he was destined. Therefore, he had to relocate to Florida for full-time care and love from his wife and family. As his condition became worse, his wife did the best she could for 11 years and seven months that he battled his illness. Unfortunately on November 1st at 7:53 PM, Aggrie Coward succumbed. He is now with his beloved Father, Enos Coward and his Brother, Donovan Coward.
Aggrie will truly be missed by his Wife: Geen; his loving Mother: Beverly Grandville; his Nine Grandchildren: Jaquoria, Lionesha, Daeshawn, Taylah, Trizaelah, Roniya, Zoriah, Jesmiyah, Marissa, and Melanie; Nephew and Nieces: Andrew Wright, Donovan Coward; Siblings: Devla Campbell, Carol Kumassah, and Oral Coward; and his Children who will continue to cherish his memories that will never be forgotten. His name will continue to live on. May his soul rest in Heaven until we meet again.
