Constance Bernice Nabors was born on November 4, 1950, to Louis Thomas Nabors and Oretha Miller Nabors, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Both preceded her in death.
Connie attended Dillard Elementary, Everglades Middle and graduated from Dillard High School in 1968. She then went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in two years from Florida Memorial University.
During her college years, Connie pledged the Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority. She was a founding member of the Broward County Chapter of the sorority. Throughout her life, Connie worked several jobs and was last employed with Motorola.
Connie enjoyed watching any television network where she could receive the word of God. After listening intently to the sermons, she would share the messages with her sisters. Connie delighted in studying the Bible, after which she would give her sisters scriptures to read.
Connie loved collecting calendars, shoes, handbags, scarves, head wraps, black Santas and Labrador Retriever figurines.
A cord of three strands is not easily broken: Connie went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, August 8, 2025. She was extremely close to her sisters Gloria and Kathy. They did everything together, including living together for 74 years. They gave each other pet names. Kathy called her “Tanny” and she called Kathy “Gretchen”. Kathy would refer to Connie as her sister-daughter. Connie called Gloria “Biggie” and Gloria called her “Lil Le Flea”.
Connie leaves her sisters Gloria “Bunny” Nabors and Kathy Nabors, both of Tamarac, Florida; one Aunt Maxine McGaskey and a host of relatives and friends to cherish her memories.
