Elisabeth H Wescott

Elisabeth (Betsy) Wescott 85, of Lauderhill, Fla passed away Tuesday May 1, 2024, In the Vitas in-patient Hospice unit at Fla Medical Center.

Betsy was born April 18, 1939 in Wakefield, Mass. Betsy was the daughter of the Late Kenneth L Hunt and Doris P. Hunt.

Betsy grew up in N. Sandwich, NH where she attended schools. After graduation she married William (Bill) L Wescott II and they moved to CA and then back to N Reading, MA. In 1972 she moved to Florida where she raised her children in Melrose Park, Ft. Lauderdale until moving to Lauderhill in 1996.

Betsy was a hard worker caring for her children, she worked at Sweden House where everyone loved her.  She was one of the “Neighborhood moms” who welcomed all the kids into her home. After Sweden House she took care of the elderly with whatever they needed, cooking, cleaning, etc.  Betsy was a warm, loving and caring person always putting others before herself.

Betsy is survived by her Sons William (Scott) L Wescott III, Lauderhill, FL, Guy T Wescott and wife Cathy of Sandwich, NH, Thomas B Wescott and wife Kelley of Coeur d’Alene, ID and her Daughter Elisabeth (Lisa) Roberts and husband Theron of Nanticoke, PA. Sisters Barbara Bryant, NH and Constance Micarelli and husband Mic of Oregon, 8 Grand Children 11 Great Grand Children and several Nieces and Nephews.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Broward Funeral Choices, Ft Lauderdale, FL.
