Elton Johnson, also known as Stanley, was born on April 28, 1927 in Deerfield, New Jersey, to the late Herbert Johnson, Sr. and Mary Johnson-(Pierce).
Elton Johnson (Stanley) was an energetic handyman who enjoyed landscaping. He loved fishing and sitting for hours talking with his best friends Hubert Fuller and (Laura).
On Saturday, July 25, 2020, God called him home to rest. He was preceded in death by his son, Elton Jr.; his sisters, Doris Byrd; Dorothy Johnson; his brothers, Walter Johnson; George Johnson; Leon Johnson; Eugene Johnson; and Homer Pierce.
Those left to cherish his memories are son, Wilbert Johnson of New Jersey, his brother, Herbert Johnson, Jr. (Angie) of New Jersey; his sisters, Ethel Davis of New Jersey, Sadie White of Georgia, Marie Simmons of Homestead, Florida, and Julia Worthington (Greg) of New Jersey; four grandchildren, Sharon Leach, Shasconda Johnson, Daniel Johnson, and Wilbert Johnson Jr.; five great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great grand-child; best friends Hubert Fuller (Laura) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dear grandpa, words are never easy at a time like this. But I’m glad to say, I was able to enjoy your presence again with my daughter Jave, and her son Maximus, your great grands. Rest in Peace. We love you grandpa, Sharon.
