Llewellyn Clarke was born in the Parish of Portland, Jamaica,
West Indies on January 16, 1948. Llewellyn
was the second of nine children to John and Florence
Clarke. Llewellyn grew up in the District of Long Bay in
Portland with his Grandmother, Brothers, Sisters, and
Cousins; while his Mom and Dad resided in London,
England.
Llewelyn attended Long Primary School, followed by
Port Antonio Secondary School. At the age of 18, he
started working on Cruise Ships. Llewellyn was a great
musician and he loved playing his bass guitar.
Llewellyn had several music bands and played at any
event, even the church. Llewellyn would die for his
music, and also was a great Jeweler; but his main
career was being a Security Guard.
Llewellyn migrated to the United States where he continued
to work as hard as he could to take care of his
family. Llewellyn is survived by his wife Marjorie
Clarke; sons: Delroy Clarke, Glenroy Clarke, and
Gilroy Clarke; step daughter: Christine Willis Osbourne;
six grandchildren; brothers: Harold Clarke,
Edward Clarke, Renford Clarke, and Dennis Clarke;
sisters: Gertrude, Violet, and Gwendolyn Norris.
