Shawntell Williams Obituary

Shawntell Trenae Williams, mother, daughter, sister, and friend; passed away on August 15, 2021 in her home in West Park, Florida.

Ms. Shawntell T. Williams was born January 26, 1975, in Miami, Florida to Essie J. Williams and Vincent W. Lindsey. She graduated from Miami Carol City Sr. High in 1993 and spent 22 years as an Operations Agent for Florida Power and Light.

Shawntell touched the lives of so many people with her deep love of family, loyalty, integrity, generosity, and infectious smile. Her heart was always filled with good intentions and generous actions.  Shawtell was very giving and truly selfless when it came to her family.  She absorbed the pain of others and gave only love and warmth in return.  She brought calm and peace to every place she went and every situation she walked into and would extend her home to anyone in need.  She was a fiercely dedicated mother whose main focus in life was raising her daughter Ashaunte and helped raise her niece Trakyla who still affectionately calls her Mom.  Throughout her struggle with cancer she continued to work, never asked for anything from anyone, doing everything she could to prepare her daughter for what was to come mentally, financially, and spiritually.  She was a truly remarkable person.

She is survived by her daughter Ashaunte Amiaya Ann Williams., mother Essie J. Williams and siblings Shameka T. Williams, Travis D. Williams and her eldest sister Wanda Harvard-Hamm.  She also leaves behind dedicated Grandfather Mr. Eugene Williams, Aunts Arlene Mills, Valencia Harvard, Carolyn Harvard-Lamar, Darlisa Stephens, Valerie Williams and uncles Jimmy Harvard, Celeste Harvard and Ulysses Harvard.  Sawntell also had deep relationships with her nieces and nephews Bianca Hamm-Hart, Briyah Hamm, Jaleel Watson, Layla Watson, Brandy Hamm, Trakyla Williams, Brenna Hamm and Rhonda Chrissy Williams who will all miss her dearly.
