Sidney Van Dyke

Sidney “Rusty” Van Dyke, age 77, of Deerfield Beach, FL passed away December 28, 2022. We find peace in the fact that he now safe in the arms of our savior and with his wife Brenda and son Dale. 

Sidney was born on April 13, 1945, in Grafton, Ohio to Fred and Doris Van Dyke. He served in the United States Navy from 1963 to 1966 in Vietnam as a E-3 Seaman and helicopter squadron. During his service he received a National Defense Service Metal.

Sidney Van Dyke is survived by his daughter in law, Anne Van Dyke of Saint Jo, Texas, his granddaughters, Faith Wanamaker of Denton, Texas, Nicole Wright of Highland Village, Texas, his grandson, Ryan Fitts of Denton, Texas, and his six great grandchildren, Elise, Noah, William, Gray, Lionel, and Jaydn.  Sidney is preceded in death by his wife Brenda Van Dyke and his son Dale Van Dyke.

A memorial service will be held at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on January 27, 2023, at 11:00am. The cemetery is located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway Dallas, TX 75211
