Surender Reddy Sama

Surender Reddy Sama, beloved husband to Uma Maheswari and father to Snigdha Reddy and Shreyas Reddy, passed away on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025 while surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in 1971, he is the only son to Bal Reddy Sama and Laxmamma Sama, and a brother to 4 sisters. He attended Osmania University in Hyderabad, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree and a Masters in Business Administration. Always inquisitive and studious, he taught himself software engineering and discovered that is where his true passion lies. He met and married his now-wife, Uma Maheswari, in 1997. Following marriage, they welcomed their daughter Snigdha into the world in 2001, followed by their son Shreyas in 2003. His exceptional perseverance at his work earned him the opportunity to move to Miami, FL, USA, where Surender and Uma raised their family. 

Surender is known by his loved ones as a man of boundless energy and inspiration—always striving for growth, self-improvement, inspiring others with his passion for fitness, healthy living, and productivity, and generously offering his support and wisdom to help those around him thrive. He was a visionary dreamer who pursued his goals with unwavering determination, stopping at nothing to create a better future for himself and his family. His unwavering focus, determination, and perseverance were driven by his deep commitment to ensuring his wife and children were always well cared for. He aspired not only to provide for his family but also to make the world a better place for all through his life’s work and the software he created—a vision he brought to life with compassion and purpose. He was a generous friend, an exceptional husband, and, above all, a devoted father who would—and often did—move mountains to give his children the world, always striving to make their dreams a reality.

In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, sisters (Amba, Amrutha, Manjula, and Madhavi), and many loving nieces and nephews. Few people knew of his quiet battle with pancreatic cancer, as he chose to shield his loved ones from worry, valuing every moment spent with them and focusing on creating lasting memories filled with love and joy. His strength, selflessness, and enduring love leave a legacy that will continue to inspire and guide all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
