Willie “James “ Braddy III passed away peacefully on October 18, 2024 in Pompano Beach, FL. Willie was born in Louisville, Georgia on April 5, 1959 to Willie Braddy Jr. and Sally Mae Braddy. He graduated in 1979, from Richmond Academy High School in Richmond County. In November 1980, Willie moved to Pompano Beach, fl. in the summer of 1981, Willie met the love of his life, Joyce Montague. They married on January 28, 1983. Willie was known for his love basketball. in his high school days at Richmond academy, he was a basketball star. Whether playing pickup games with friends or cheering his favorite NBA team the “Lakers” basketball was more than a sport to him. It was a way to connect, to share joy, and to create memories. Willie was preceded in death by his father: Willie Braddy Jr. he leaves behind his mother: Sally Mae Braddy, his wife Joyce Braddy, three children: Fayshawn Walker, Marqus Braddy Sr. (Monica) and Valerie Thompson (Benjamin), seven grandchildren: Shamaya, Kendarius, Iasiah, Marqus Jr, Malaysia, Faith and Elijah. Willie also leaves behind four siblings: Lillie Attles (Marvin), Hardie (Jackie), Calvin Braddy Sr. (Delia) and Coralyn Wells (Cornelius), three god-siblings: William Banks (Janice), Christine Banks and Ethel Wells (Paul), and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
